Students of the Digital Print Technologies program become experts in printing process technology and the manufacture of modern print products such as packaging, components for communications and information technology, security elements on securities, 3D prototyping, textiles, decorative wallpaper, flyers, books or magazines. In seven varied semesters, the prospective engineers acquire the necessary specialist knowledge and develop application- and solution-oriented ways of thinking and acting for their later professional activities. The students themselves determine their own technical specialization with the choice of specialization topics.

Welcome to the Master Course Printing and Packaging Technology

In the master's degree program in printing and packaging technology, we train technologically oriented specialists who have in-depth expertise in solving problems in the industrial manufacture of printed products and packaging. The training builds on the first university degree qualifying for a profession and provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for independent scientific work in the field of research, development and application technology in the printing and packaging industry.

The focus of the training is oriented to the technical developments in the field. In addition to the in-depth study of basic mathematical and scientific content (modules on modeling, surface and boundary surfaces, laser technology, statistical experimental design), application-oriented specialization (modules on innovations in printing and packaging, UV applications, newspaper production) is possible. In addition, these contents are supplemented by individual elective modules. The integrated research internship, as well as the project work offered, provide the opportunity to familiarize oneself with interdisciplinary ways of thinking and working.
