PNEUMATIC SELF-EXPANDING SHAFT WITH LEDGES MOD. 640 PQL
The pneumatic self-expanding shaft with ledges mod. 640 PQL grants a perfect unwinding and rewinding with cores at high linear speeds.
It is equipped with the tested SVECOM self-centering air system, with metal centering ledges and rubber gripping ledges. It can be used for all types of cores, multiple rolls and larger diameter requirements. The shaft body is available in a variety of steels and light alloys. The journal ends are also available in a variety of steels and are always custom made. Expansion is obtained by a system of inflatable tubes that are located beneath each row of expandors. Tube changes are quick and easy, accomplished without journal removal.

Pneumechanical expanding chuck with leaves mod. 714 MZ is recommended primarily for unwinding, where perfect centering is needed.
It can also be used for winding and rewinding, and is superior for higher weight, speed, and torque requirements. The body of the chuck and the expanders (lugs or leaves, depending on the application) are available in steel only. The chuck is available in flange or shaft extension type mountings. Expansion is accomplished by one (or more) air activated pistons that mechanically engage the expanders. Expansion can be spring activated to grant core is gripped also in case of air leakage in the machine. When running different core diameters, suitable interchangeable adaptors can be fitted onto one base chuck. With usage of steel cores, rubber-covered leaves are available.

SELF-CLOSING MECHANICAL SAFETY CHUCK WITH ROUND-SQUARE/SQUARE-SQUARE SHAPED AND SLIDING RING MOD. 926
Self-closing mechanical safety chuck with round-square/square-square shaped and sliding ring mod. 926 is used to rewind or unwind material in rolls on expanding airshafts; they allow to load or unload rolls more easily without moving the airshaft directly.

From Piccolo Espansibile to Svecom - P.E.
After the Second World War, Italy was reborn as there was a willing to improve, new ideas & innovation to be implemented and a skill set to be put into work: it was the period of economic boom. This was the perfect time to start a new business. In Vicenza, a small city in Northern Italy, three young bright engineers with talent, Giovanni Marin, Giancarlo Marin and Ferdinando Lovato, with a few colleagues, opened a small factory to design and build the
first expansion systems for the web fed industry. Piccolo Espansibile was the name of the start-up company and its growth was fuelled by their skill and entrepreneurial flare.
In 1986 another leap forward, Al Pretto, a relation of Giancarlo Marin, founded the Goldenrod Corporation in Connecticut, United States of America, as a subsidiary of Svecom - P.E. Today Goldenrod is an Independent company that is fully committed to the support of Svecom’s sales, product innovations and technical assistance throughout North America.
Up to this moment the second generation is leading these visionary companies, while the third one is starting to be a part of their reality.
To this day, Svecom has never stopped growing: we are a business with over 200 employees, a production facility of 25,000 square meters and a sales & technical network that covers the globe.
